In September, DC Comics had one Black writer working for them and one female writer working for them.
The one Black writer working for DC Comics has since been let go.
Of the six books featuring lead characters of color, a full third kept their faces (and with them, their ethnicities) completely obscured on every single cover. Only one White lead did the same.
Of the six books featuring female leads, a full third were marketed using sexually explicit covers. No male lead books featured their leads in sexually explicit poses.
